January 19-25, 2009 - Week 2: Theme - Tagging and aggregation

This week introduces a thorough discussion of the key concepts tagging, RSS, folksonomies, and aggregation. Example implementations using these concepts for language learning are introduced, and techniques and tools for aggregation of content on the web are explored.  Participants are expected to tag and configure their blogs and other web artifacts associated with this course in a way that their content can be aggregated by other participants here.

(Twemes is or was an aggregator of Twitter #hash tags.  If you included a tag such as #evo2009mlit in your Twitter post it would aggregate to your Twemes URL such as that given above.  If you visit this URL now you will see the post where Vance set it up but despite tagging numerous Tweets with the required tag, no further postings have been aggregated.  I'm not sure why it's not working.  It used to, doesn't now.)
